Regular Wednesday afternoon access to the course now available

The Sydney Disc Golf Club has negotiated regular access to the disc golf course on alternate Wednesday afternoons. Club members will meet this Wednesday 4th November at 3.30pm sharp near the visitors centre at the bottom of the carpark. If you plan to meet us please let us know in advance so we can synchronize access to the course. The security gate will be locked but the club has a security pass so access is quite easy. November League Day Details

Sunday 22nd November 2009

The league day will consist of two rounds of play. Registration will be at 10.15am sharp, tee off shortly after, second round starts at 1pm. Feel free to play either one or both rounds.

As this is a handicapped league day, every player will have a great chance of scoring some disc golf prizes. Players of all abilities are welcome, especially newcomers (there will be discs available to lend on the day).

Fee: $5 for the day and an optional $2 if you would like to enter the ace pool.

Disc Golf Clinic at Parklands Foundation Annual World Picnic Day

Sunday 15th November 2009, 11am – 3pm, Newington Armory

The Parklands Foundation is hosting the annual World Picnic Day at Newington Armory, Sydney Olympic Park home of the Sydney Olympic Park Disc Golf Course.

The event is the official celebration of the Parklands Foundation as the not for profit organisation established to preserve and enhance the parklands at Sydney Olympic Park and an opportunity for the entire community to embrace and enjoy the delights of this diverse 425 hectare parkland area.

The Sydney Disc Golf Club will be holding disc golf clinics throughout the day.

Parklands Foundation’s World Picnic Day is a fun family event that offers activities for the young and old:

  • music and dancing
  • kite making
  • sports workshops
  • roving entertainment
  • old fashion family picnic games like the three legged race and sack jumping competitions
  • Heritage Railway Discovery Tour
  • jumping castles, and more
